This year we have 6 families whose children attend Bay Park Elementary that need our help.
We are collecting new and gently used (unwrapped) items, cash, and Gift Cards to make this holiday season a joyous one for these very grateful families. Donations can be left in the bin in the hallway outside the office.
Please give cash and Gift Cards directly to the office. Please donate by Monday December 14.
A few ideas to make this the best holiday EVER for these families!
– Spread the word to your friends, family, and colleagues at work and on Facebook. You’ll be amazed at their generosity and how much they want – – Post the “big ticket” needs to your Facebook wall – you never know who may have a nutribullet, old computer, ipad, pots, pans, etc. that they would love to give to a good home.
– “Spring Cleaning” time! Clean out your house and closets – what do you have that these families could use?
– When Holiday shopping for your family and friends, throw in an extra something for these families.
– Use this as an opportunity to teach your child(ren) about giving and caring for others – you’ll be so proud to see them eagerly donate some of their own things, or spend their allowance to buy something for these special families.
Please email Madeline Schmidt (maddi858@gmail.com) to coordinate donations of any large items or if you would like to provide a service to these families (e.g. car tune up, job leads, etc). If your donation is for a specific family, please label it as such. Otherwise, we are happy to distribute appropriately to the families.
For all families, you may also consider giving the following as gifts: Puzzles and games, Gift cards (grocery, drug store, Target, Visa, etc), Books, Arts & Crafts, Homework supplies, etc. Wrapping paper and gift bags are also welcome to help the families wrap these donated items for Christmas.
